I'm less disappointed than I am smug. So many people assured me when I started travelling that horrible, terrible things were going to happen to me. Now when people tell me I'm going to wind up dead in a ditch I just roll my eyes and laugh condescendingly in a manner that will eventually get me smacked.
Your lack of muggings sometimes sounds like a true disappointment to you.
